ESL Classes
Part of the services we provide to help our clients become self-sufficient and find success in America is making sure that every client has access to English classes or tutors. We do this through working in partnership with local non-profits and volunteers from churches in our community.
We refer our clients to various classes in the Nashville area that are taught by our volunteers or another non-profit. In Memphis, the majority of clients are referred to services provided by our partner, the Refugee Empowerment Program. For those clients who do not live near an English class or are physically not able to attend class, we partner them with a volunteer English tutor.
To help volunteers feel empowered and competent we provide tutor training and access to various English books and resources.
