The refugee journey is a story about the strength of the human spirit. In the face of overwhelming obstacles including physical danger, displacement, and the loss of identity and loved ones, refugee families from all around the world are coming to Nashville in search of a future and a hope. Refugee Christmas Project is an annual initiative to live out the vision and mission of World Relief,empowering the local Church to serve the most vulnerable. The fruit of this project is immeasurable. While thousands of gifts (which include much-needed items like coats, winter clothing, shoes, technology, gift cards, bedding, etc) are purchased by local churches and delivered to dozens of high-need refugee families at Christmas time, the most important fruits of this project are the relationships formed.
Most refugee families arrive to the U.S. carrying all of their belongings in just one or two bags. You can help provide ONE MORE refugee family with household items and other basic necessities as they begin to rebuild their lives here in Nashville.
